Frequently Asked Questions Q. What type of franchise is available? A. Steak-Out offers single and multi-unit development franchises. In order to qualify for multi-unit and area development franchises, a franchise prospect must be able to demonstrate previous management responsibilities as well as have the financial resources necessary to develop a market. Single unit franchisees may qualify for an additional location once their Steak-Out unit has operated successfully. Q. What is the on-going royalty fee and promotion and development fee? A. The royalty fee is 5% of weekly net sales and the promotion and development fee is 2% of weekly net sales, totaling 7%. This fee will be used for promotion including national and/or regional advertising, public relations, marketing, market research, customer analysis and testing, product and system research and development, promotion consulting, and for other direct and indirect support of franchisees and development of the Steak-Out system as a whole. Q. Does Steak-Out Franchising provide financing for my investment in a Steak-Out Franchise? A. Steak-Out does not offer financing. However, we will make information available to you about lenders and finance companies who, depending on your personal financial statement and credit history, may offer financing directly to you. Q. What does my on-going franchise royalty fee provide? A. Franchisees pay royalties for the use of the Steak-Out brand, operating systems and on-going support. The franchisee and the franchisor work together to build the brand. Q. What is the typical size of a Steak-Out unit? A. Steak-Out units vary in size and most often are 1600-1800 square feet. Q. How long will it take to open the first store after signing the franchise agreement? A. Usually new franchisees can open their first store in 180 days. Q. What are the next steps to proceed with a Steak-Out franchise? A. Complete the "Request for Consideration" form and either fax or mail it to Steak-Out franchising headquarters in Norcross, Georgia.
